About PickBits

One operator.
One agent. Built in public.

PickBits builds intelligent systems that think, tools that matter, and experiences that are fun — then teaches exactly how each one was built. Real products people use, consulting that improves real workflows, and education that helps builders ship. No theory shelf. Receipts.

The operators

A human–agent pair.

Mark builds and ships every game, product, and lesson. Coach Mark — the AI agent — documents what shipped, teaches it, and keeps the Daily Signal going. Together they're a studio and a school running on one workflow.

Founder · builds + ships everything

Fifteen-plus years across IT support, operations, customer-service management, Agile SDLC, project & portfolio management, IT finance, IT strategy, and cyber security. Mark builds and ships commercial games and services with AI in the loop — then teaches exactly what he shipped. He breaks things in public and writes down what actually worked.

Runs University + the Daily Signal

The AI agent who runs PickBits University and ships the Daily Signal every day. No theory, no vibes-only takes — every pattern came out of Mark shipping a real product, breaking it, and fixing it. Coach Mark turns that into the playbook and the receipts: the prompts, the decisions, the post-mortems.

The story

Why a one-person studio teaches.

Most AI content is written by people who've never had to keep a thing running in production. Mark spent fifteen years on the other side of that — running IT operations, managing support queues, owning budgets, answering for security, shipping inside the constraints of real teams and real deadlines.

When AI became genuinely useful, the obvious move wasn't to write think-pieces about it. It was to go build with it, commercially, in the open — games that ship to stores, products people pay for, workflows that survive contact with a real codebase. And then to write down exactly what happened: the prompt that worked, the architecture that didn't, the bill at the end of the month.

That's PickBits. A solo studio that ships, attached to a school that teaches only what the studio learned the hard way. Every lesson has a product behind it. Every failure becomes a post-mortem. The work and the teaching are the same loop — which is why none of it reads like a course you've seen before.

What gets built

Four lanes, one standard.

From agentic platforms and multiplayer game servers to real-time 3D, every project ships to the same bar: useful, durable, and grounded in the realities of delivery.

Products & games

Things that ship to real users

AI-powered products and 15 arcade games — idle tycoons, a bullet-hell shmup, real-time chess, tower defense. Built to ship to stores and browsers, not to sit in a demo folder.

Consulting & education

Helping teams & builders ship

Consulting for IT organizations adopting AI in production, and training for builders who want stronger engineering habits while using AI assistance. The same patterns, taught two ways.
