About PickBits

Understand the work.
Find the constraint.
Build what helps.

PickBits is an AI growth partner led by Mark Pickering. We start with what is costing your business time, customers, or capacity, then build a practical way to improve it.

The operators

A human–agent pair.

Mark brings business context, judgment, and responsibility for the work. Coach Mark is the AI counterpart in the PickBits learning and publishing world. People direct the work and decide what is ready.

Coach Mark helps turn the work behind PickBits into learning material and the Daily Signal. The useful output is the context: what was built, the decisions that shaped it, and what changed after it met real work.

The story

The business problem comes first.

I have spent years running IT operations, managing support queues, owning budgets, and delivering work inside the constraints of real teams. A system has to work for the person answering the phone, serving the customer, or closing out the day.

AI gives us more ways to change how that work gets done. The first question is still about the business: where is value getting lost, what would a useful change look like, and how will we know it helped?

That is how I want PickBits to work with you. Understand the situation, build the smallest useful system, and use the result to decide what comes next. Our own products and creative work give you a way to inspect how we build.

Common questions.

What does PickBits do?

PickBits works with businesses to find operational bottlenecks, build useful systems, and measure what changes. The work can involve sales follow-up, customer service, internal workflows, publishing, or product development.

Do I need to know what AI tool I want?

No. Start with the situation in your business: what is taking too much time, losing customers, or limiting capacity. We work out the approach after understanding the problem.

How does an engagement begin?

Start with a free 30-minute conversation or send Mark the problem. If there is a fit, we agree the scope, deliverables, price, and timing before paid work begins.

Do I have to sign up for ongoing work?

No. A Growth Audit or Build Sprint can stand on its own. A continuing Growth Partnership is a separate decision, with an agreed scope and review cadence.

How do we measure whether it helped?

We agree a baseline and an acceptance check before building. The measure depends on the problem: task time, response speed, repeated entry, follow-up, or another observable outcome.

Can we work together remotely?

Yes. Mark is based in the Phoenix area and works remotely. Location, any on-site work, and the meeting schedule are agreed as part of the engagement.

Where do I find training and the community?

PickBits Academy is the place for self-directed learning and operating practices. The Experimenters page shows the work behind PickBits and links to the Patreon community.
