One dashboard for the software that keeps work moving
See your software projects, the important jobs they run, and the status of scheduled work in one place. Company OS turns information scattered across a computer into a dashboard you can open in a browser.
What was getting hard to see
PickBits had nine projects and 18 scheduled jobs running across its work. Basic questions took too much searching: what does this project do, which tasks matter, and did last night's work run?
The answers existed in project files and the computer's schedule. Company OS brought them into one view.
What the dashboard shows
- A place for each project. See what it is for and open its detail page.
- The work that matters. Identify the important jobs among all the available software tasks.
- Scheduled activity. Check the recorded status of work that is meant to run automatically.
- A view kept on your computer. Open the dashboard without creating an account or uploading the project information.
A morning check
After the dashboard refreshes, open it to review the overnight jobs. If something needs attention, follow the relevant project's page for its details. It gives the person responsible for the software a starting point for checking the work.
Where it stands
Company OS is released with public source code. Its pages are snapshots, so they need to be refreshed to reflect recent changes. A scheduled refresh can handle that, while someone keeps the list of projects and important tasks current.
It takes technical setup to connect a real set of projects. The installation instructions and code are on GitHub; PickBits can also handle the setup and handoff.
